Strand Theater

FDTdesign has teamed up with Leeser Architecture for the Strand Theatre Rennovation Project. FDT’s Creative Director Marco Moretti collaborated with Principal Architect Thomas Leeser to develop an exterior graphics concept for the buidling facade and exterior signage. Currently, the design has been approved by the project funders, the commision, Economic Development Corp., and construction will begin soon.

Situated in Brooklyn's BAM cultural district, the new Strand Theater will house BRIC, a visual, performance and media arts space, and UrbanGlass, the largest artist-access glass workshop in the US. The project involves renovating the existing building of these two cultul organizations. This renovation and expansion goes with the Downtown Brooklyn Partnership's efforts to envision a unified BAM Cultural District.
